Digital Art, Digital Painting, Botanical, "Cactus" by Colorado Artist Nancee Jean Busse

I saw, and photographed, this amazing, weathered cactus at the Na Aina Kai Botanical Garden on the island of Kauai. When I choose a botanical for a painting, I typically choose something that is compelling because of its complexity, beauty, and/or sexiness. My digital paintings take time and patience, allowing me to abide for a time with each plant I paint. This painting took over 70 hours to complete and over 43,000 strokes.    Because this was painted digitally, it can be reproduced at any proportionate size up to 23.5” x 30”. It will look beautiful printed on paper, canvas, or metal. Contact me and we can discuss which option will work the best for you.

Digital on Collector's Choice: Paper, Metal, or Canvas 30.5 x 23 x 0

Digital Painting, Botanical Art Painting, "chrysophillum_canito" by Colorado Artist Nancee Jean Busse

I completed another digital botanical painting. These beauties take a ton of time and patience, but I love the completed pieces. Statistics: 27,764 strokes, 24 hrs and 20 min, creating a whopping 960 mg file. It's a huge file and can be enlarged or reduced. "Chrysophillum Canito," (also called Star Apple), 23"x30." Because this piece was created as a digital file at 960 megabytes, it can be enlarged or reduced to a variety of sizes. Substrate options are canvas, archival paper, or metal.

Digital on Collector's Choice: Paper, Metal, or Canvas 30 x 23 x 0

Abstract Art, Digital Painting, “red, white, and blue” by Colorado Artist Nancee Jean Busse

This digital painting required 4495 strokes and 17 hours. Recent history and politics knocked a lot of us for a loop. Our usually-neighborly populace ruptured into a quarrelsome mess. When my siblings and I behaved like that as children, my mother would have threatened to "pull the car over and knock our heads together." I can't do that (she never did either), so instead I painted a piece that represents Old Glory, shattered like glass; exploding from the unbearable pressure of hatred and hostility.

36"x24" This painting will reproduce beautifully on archival paper, as a canvas wrap, or on metal.
